I was invited by Kempertrautmann agency & Demodern design studio to be a guest illustrator as part of a virtual campaign for edding Pens.
They built a gigantic interactive virtual drawing wall for all to draw on in real time, so I couldnt resist drawing out some of my imagination with my drawing tablet!

The wall has now had over 10,000 drawings added to it.

Luke Aaron Clark - Paper Tongue

I was comisioned by Luke Aaron Clark to create his album artwork for his debut release - Paper Tongue. The artwork is to resemble the clean and positive characteristics of Luke's music.
Album to be released in May.

The Sketchbook Project 2011

I recently took part in the Sketchbook Project 2011 by Art House Co-op.
For the project you are given a blank sketchbook which you are to fill up based around a chosen theme. My sketchbook theme was 'Lines and Grids'. Once your sketchbook is filled you then post it back to Art House Co-op where the sketchbooks go on tour and are exhibited across the whole of America.
After the tour they will then be archived in the Brooklyn Museum of Art.

A digital version of my sketchbook will be available to look through soon!

Toowup Promotional Identity

I was commissioned by DDB Paris to Illustrate a set of sombre anti smoking campaign posters for the French Government's Ministry of Health INPES.

These were to run alongside their broadcast ad which depicts a biography of a smoker and all their memories whilst smoking.

The campaign will be put out across the whole of France and other parts of Europe.

Glug Brighton - Skull painting!

I was invited to paint a ceramic skull along with 14 other artists for Glug Brighton. Once the skulls have been fired they will all be auctioned off for charity. Fun times!

I was recently commisioned by Richard Davis to work on this lovely little project to create the album artwork for his band Heliopause. He wanted something a bit different from the usual 12 x 12 square format, so I came up with a nice hand drawn consitina fold out book.

HairCut

Trent Montgomery running late and in a rush arrives at his habitual
barbers, he is panic stricken to discover a fifteen mile long queue.
On reaching the back of the queue, he glimpses a shiny new, queue free,
Hair shop, Hairvolution;
Trent opens Hairvolution’s cling-film door. Magnus the barber whisks him
into a special hair trimming room with a whisk.
Magnus slips his hair retardant safety mask on, much like a Welders
helmet and starts snipping and slicing at the speed of light, the shop is
filled with the sound of two swords in combat.
Trent feels satisfied with the results, he doesn't have too much time to
check it in the mirror, so pays and leaves thanking Magnus.
Magnus says “would you like a lolly-pop”, Trent replies, “No thanks” he's
not really into that kind of thing, with the exception of that one time in
Ibiza, but that was all in the past.
The following morning, the effects of Hairvolution's methods have created
a slight tingling sensation within his new hairdo.
Life begins to get very strange as Trent comes to realise an entire universe
is formulating and growing within his haircut. It starts expanding beyond
the parameters of his hair, becoming entangled in the outside world
around him.

Residence Pop Up Restaurant - Dinner sitting.

Tasty food, biros and paint brushes. Dinner time drawing was fun. Thanks again to Euan for inviting me along.

The Residence Pop Up Restaurant is part of the Brighton Festival. Each dining sitting has a different artist creating a piece of art whilst the diners enjoy some tasty food. At the end of the restaurant residency all the artworks will be auctioned off and the money raised will be donated to Age Concern.

As part of the Brighton Open House Festival, we are running an exhibition called 'FreakShow', which is a collection of some of the South Coast's finest image makers including the likes of Shan Jiang, Mega Munden, Luke Insect, Another Example, Johnny McCulloch, Hello Marine, Imakethings, Steve Wilson, Harry Draws, Matt Taylor, Jonas Valtysson, Matthew Buchanan, Chris Ede, Will Scobie, Velvet Spectrum, Yuko Michishita, Neil Davies and Erla Maria.

The exhibition will run during the course of the festival in May and we are also having an opening night on Friday 30th April from 7pm - 9pm.

I spent the weekend painting a mural for Concorde 2 with my collective Will Paint For Beer. We were ment to create the mural for the Beach Down festival but it was canceled last minute, so we relocated at the Concorde 2 in Brighton. The Mural will be used as their main sign. A brilliant weekend of painty creations in the sunshine.
